POSITION TITLE:
Heavy Duty Vehicle Painter
SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Vehicle Painter to join our team at Western Star Trucks.
As a Heavy Duty Vehicle Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting heavy duty vehicles, transportation equipment, buses, and RVs.
You will determine the appropriate colors and coatings for various surfaces, operate inspection equipment, and mix paint and chemicals as needed.
Our team is dedicated to producing high-quality work, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prep and paint heavy duty vehicles, transportation equipment, buses, and RVs
Determine appropriate colors and coatings for various surfaces according to standard guidelines
Operate inspection equipment and mix paint and chemicals as needed
Work with shop management to produce timelines and finished products
Perform routine and preventive maintenance painting duties
Prepare and submit requests for obtaining necessary approval to use substitute materials
Maintain safety standards in the performance of duties
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in painting
Ability to produce quality work with minimal errors
Able to read, write, and speak in English
Ability to use computer programs
Must have own tools
Ability to maintain a clean and efficient workspace, work independently and as a member of a team, multitask, and work flexible hours
