Job Title: Community Connector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Connector to join our team at Options Community Services Society. As a Community Connector, you will play a vital role in supporting child care providers and families in the Southern Fraser region. Your expertise and enthusiasm will help us deliver high-quality services and programs that make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support child care providers in navigating funding applications and connecting them with licensing officials
  • Mentor providers on child care philosophies, including play-based learning and health and safety
  • Conduct site visits to offer practical guidance and model activities
  • Develop and present educational sessions on the BC Early Learning Framework
  • Represent the CCRR program in the community and share culturally-responsive tools and resources

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Care and Education training or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years working with young children and their families
  • Comprehensive understanding of Early Years programs and challenges
  • Current Level I First Aid Certificate
  • Successful program implementation and community mobilization experience
