Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at Papa Geordie Gas & Grocery. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Training and Development: Train staff on new recipes and procedures.
- Operational Efficiency: Operate machinery and equipment efficiently to meet production demands.
- Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Language: English.
