Position Overview

Laing Roofing Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Roofing Operations Supervisor to oversee our roofing projects. This role requires a strong background in construction management and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the roofing or construction industry is essential.
Work Environment
  • Work is primarily conducted outdoors and at heights.
  • Projects may vary across commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of roofing teams.
  • Schedule and oversee daily operations and project timelines.
  • Facilitate apprenticeship training and development.
  • Conduct training sessions or arrange for necessary training.
  • Estimate project costs and required materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Lead and instruct team members effectively.
Supervisory Duties
  • Manage staff across various responsibilities including roofers, cladders/siding installers, apprentices, and laborers.
Certifications
  • Must possess a Roofer Red Seal Certificate.
  • Completion of Fall Arrest Protection Training Course is required.
Transportation Requirements
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
