About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Oyster Harvester to join our team at Raspberry Point Oyster Company. As an Oyster Harvester, you will play a critical role in the success of our aquaculture operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Aquaculture Enclosures: Ensure the health and well-being of our oyster stocks by maintaining clean and safe enclosures.
  • Transfer Stock to Tanks and Pack Shellfish: Assist in the transfer of oysters to tanks and pack shellfish for distribution.
  • Assist Aquaculture Technicians: Work closely with our aquaculture technicians to operate fish hatcheries and other aquatic farms.
  • Grade and Weigh Aquaculture Stocks: Accurately grade and weigh oyster stocks to ensure quality and consistency.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Site Environment: This role requires working outdoors, in/on water, and in wet/damp conditions.
  • Physical Capabilities: You must be able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and possess manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
  • Hours of Work: 40 to 60 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Duration of Employment: Seasonal.
