About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Child Caregiver to join our team at De Leon Residence. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our children in a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Household Management: Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, including light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children.
  • Child Supervision: Supervise and care for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Education and Development: Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and assist with homework.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
  • Travel and Errands: Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, and take children to and from school and to appointments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, time management, patience, and honesty.
Work Environment

The work site environment is scent-free, and the work setting is in the employer's home, with room and board provided.
