We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Assistant/Noon Hour Supervisor to join our team at School District #8 (Kootenay Lake). This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the success of our school community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, Principals, and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Assist with classroom management and supervision, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support and coordination.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavior management, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
