About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Akamai. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and managing applications and infrastructure that support our Compute products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive automation and operational excellence across all internal teams
  • Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems
  • Participate in on-call rotations and guide restoration and repair of service-impacting issues
  • Architect software and infrastructure at scale using Linux systems administration, configuration management, and performance tuning expertise
Requirements
  • High-level experience in SysAdmin (Linux/Unix Administration), DevOps, or Software engineering role, working with large-scale distributed systems
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Golang) and configuration management with Terraform
  • Experience with architecting software and infrastructure at scale
  • Informed opinions on technology and software design
