Software Engineer for AWS Cloud Map

AWS Cloud Map is seeking a talented Software Engineer to enhance our vision of establishing Cloud Map as the premier platform for resource discovery in the cloud. Our team is responsible for a robust and scalable service discovery solution that empowers customers to locate their resources in real-time, assign custom identifiers, and keep track of the constantly evolving locations of these resources.

As a critical service relied upon by our customers, Cloud Map is required to ensure minimal latency, exceptional availability, and the capacity to handle millions of transactions every second. We are in search of software engineers who are enthusiastic about tackling intricate challenges and thrive in managing complex, mission-critical systems under significant loads. Our infrastructure processes hundreds of millions of records and handles millions of service requests each minute. Are you ready to take on this challenge?

In this role, you will engage in all aspects of the software development and deployment lifecycle, which includes documentation, testing, and operational responsibilities. You will appreciate working in a dynamic environment and collaborating closely with a group of skilled engineers.

Essential Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships
  • 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scalability
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • 3+ years of comprehensive software development lifecycle experience, covering coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

The compensation for this position ranges from $114,800 to $191,800 annually, based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package that may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a wide array of medical, financial, and other benefits.
