Key Responsibilities- Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement IP networks for broadcast infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Network Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including configuration, commissioning, and systematic troubleshooting of Ethernet/IP networks.
- Customer Support: Provide technical direction to customers regarding operational issues, firmware upgrades, and general maintenance.
- Network Assessment and Optimization: Assess customer applications, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues to determine root causes and recommend solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain a communication link between customer service and other departments to resolve customer issues and communicate customer feedback to aid in design changes.
- Documentation and Training: Generate or author customer guides, provide technical writing group with information, and deliver training to customers in-house or abroad.
- Education and Experience: Education in Computer Networking or related recent practical experience, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Electronic Technician or engineering education or related recent practical experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong comfort level with Linux, knowledge of IP Networking Protocols (IGMPv2/v3, RIP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), knowledge of Internet network technologies (DNS, Firewall, SSH, HTTP).
