Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Developer Intern to join our team at Ansys. As a Software Developer Intern, you will contribute to the development of industry-leading software applications, working closely with our cross-functional squad to create, code, and test software that meets high standards for accuracy and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our squad to understand requirements and specifications.
  • Learn and employ best practices within our agile process.
  • Develop efficient, maintainable, and tested production-quality scientific code.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to keep them up to date on problems, obstacles, or issues.
  • Present your work to other teams in the business unit and across Ansys.
  • Participate actively in planning your work, pull requests, and provide feedback to peers.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other related technical degree.
  • Values and demonstrates personal growth.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio, CMake, and Git.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering major.
  • Experience developing with C++17 in a commercial setting.
  • Personal interest in engineering or physics.
