We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Farm Labourer to join our team at Elmridge Farm Ltd. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to farming and crop maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Crop Maintenance: Clear fields of wood and stones, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, harvest crops, and examine product for quality and its readiness for the market.
- Farm Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors.
- Harvesting and Handling: Hand harvesting vegetables, divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots.
- Work Environment: Work outdoors in a dusty and hot environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Hours: 40 to 70 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English.
