  • Plan and execute work tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and applicable codes.
  • Supervise and assign duties to staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, and install industrial electrical equipment, including power distribution systems and control panels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical instrumentation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Install and maintain cable tray, teck cables, EMT, and rigid circuits, ensuring safe and reliable electrical connections.
  • Read and interpret manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and Canadian electrical code specifications.
  • Respond to emergency equipment failures, prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime.
  • Develop and follow maintenance procedures for electrical equipment, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors and inspectors, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to GFL Environmental's safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Certified Ontario Licensed Electrician (309A or 442).
  • Completion of community college or equivalent specialized trade courses.
  • Proven supervisory experience, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required.
