Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at P & D Automotive Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Discuss work with supervisor to determine the best course of action
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
Requirements
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Previous experience in this field of employment
  • Excellent oral communication
  • Excellent written communication

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and manual dexterity. The work site environment is dusty, outdoors, dirty, and noisy.
