Dishwasher Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Balam Restaurant. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen.
  • Organize and prioritize cleaning tasks to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Assist with general kitchen cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash and recycling.
  • Load and unload the dishwasher, following safety guidelines and reporting any equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by following hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Monitor cleaning chemical levels and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively and staying organized.
  • Capable of handling pressure and high temperatures typical in kitchen settings.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and handling delicate plate ware.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow food safety plans and instructions.
  • Experienced with operating kitchen machinery, including dishwashers.
  • Flexible with work hours and shifts.
  • High school diploma preferred, bachelors degree in culinary arts or Gastronomy beneficial.
  • Food-safe Certification is highly desirable.
