Job Opportunity: Substitute Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher to join our team at the Good Spirit School Division No. 204. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students in a variety of subjects and grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in a substitute teaching capacity
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

  • Must hold or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
  • Experience with and understanding of student well-being, building and fostering relationships, curriculum, instruction, and assessment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence combined with a growth mindset
  • Indigenous reconciliation and technology integration skills
