ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Regional Director of Operations is tasked with providing strategic leadership, direction, and support to Campus Directors, aligning with the organization's mission to transform lives through education while ensuring the achievement of profitability and growth objectives.

The role encompasses the overall management of one career college, with regular visits to various campuses. Responsibilities include establishing and monitoring financial, sales, and service performance benchmarks; advising on actions to address business challenges beyond the authority of Campus Directors; and directly overseeing and supporting Campus Directors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the comprehensive operations of multiple campuses;
  • Contributing to the development, execution, and assessment of corporate and regional initiatives aimed at achieving financial, sales, service, and educational goals;
  • Managing Key Performance Indicators and ensuring that action plans are in place that align with the Company's Mission, Vision, and Values;
  • Providing motivation and guidance to the Admissions Department to meet sales objectives;
  • Advising on Budget and Variance reports;
  • Ensuring student retention and placement rates meet expected company standards;
  • Facilitating regular meetings and effectively communicating with Campus Directors and staff;
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and security controls, taking corrective actions as necessary;
  • Offering advice, guidance, and direction to Campus Directors; approving staffing decisions including hiring, salary, performance evaluation, discipline, and terminations;
  • Analyzing, evaluating, and recommending actions to address business challenges;
  • Collaborating with the Director of Strategy and Business Development on recruitment and operational matters for newly assigned campuses;
  • Providing financial oversight to Campus Directors and the Director of Strategy and Business Development to meet budgetary and fiscal targets;
  • Communicating and reporting to the Director of Strategy and Business Development on all matters affecting operational performance;
  • Implementing and assessing action plans to support the strategic objectives of the Career College Division.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or education;
  • A minimum of five years' experience in operational management within the educational sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation, group facilitation, and business writing;
  • Ability to provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support;
  • Capacity to motivate and inspire teamwork;
  • Expertise in business operations within the education sector;
  • Strong financial and budgetary acumen;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks;
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations;
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions;
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining focus;
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to quality service;
  • Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in current business information technology.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness and commitment to work additional hours as necessary;
  • Regular travel to visit campuses is required, valid driver's license is necessary.
