About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Behavioral Designer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for applying behavioral science expertise to optimize experiences across various client journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply behavioral science expertise to design and conduct research to understand psychological and behavioral factors that influence people's financial habits, decisions, and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to and champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Partner to solve complex design challenges through the lens of behavioral design in a range of contexts, including digital interactions, digital selling, digital services, and physical products.
  • Partner with the Beta & Experimentation team to conduct experiments to test the impact of designs for desired behavioral outcomes.
  • Analyze and interpret data from experiments and surveys to communicate results to key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Masters degree or PhD in behavioral science, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, human factors, or other related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years previous experience applying behavioral insights to real-world problems.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, R, or Python is preferred.
  • Demonstrates a positive and resilient personality; able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Has a history of solving problems, creating solutions, and driving change within a team.
  • Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage own time efficiently.
