Residential Manager Opportunity

Broadview Village, a leading provider of support services for adults with developmental disabilities, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of Residential Counsellors to provide exceptional support to residents.
  • Create a community-oriented environment that fosters collaboration and excellence in care.
  • Oversee individual support planning and program reviews, ensuring the highest standards of care and quality of life for residents.
  • Develop and assess Behaviour Support Plans in partnership with Behavioural Therapists.
  • Provide on-call support and ensure the health and safety of residents and staff.
  • Manage staff schedules, absences, and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week.
  • Travel may be required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Flexibility is essential, with occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. and apply effective body mechanics.
Qualifications and Education:
  • Development Service Workers diploma or equivalent post-secondary education.
  • Valid and current Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Level C Certificate.
  • Valid and current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certificate.
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Minimum 1-3 years' leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit agency environment.
  • 5 years' experience in developmental services and mental health services.
  • Strong knowledge of CQI, Lean Management, and Change Management.
  • Current knowledge of issues and trends in developmental services and mental health services.
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Ability to work in a skilled and compassionate manner with people who have developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Strong documentation, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for and ability to successfully advocate for the needs of both staff and residents.
  • Established ability to consistently demonstrate a common sense approach to creative problem-solving.
