Irrigation Systems Manager

Mr. Lawnmower Landscaping Services Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Foreman to join our team. As an Irrigation Foreman, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our automated irrigation systems, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of up to 2 people while performing services, motivating, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Complete daily paperwork, including equipment and vehicle checklists, work orders, and other required documents.
- Operate a variety of mechanical equipment, including sod cutters, Dingo, trucks, trailers, and compressors.
- Implement the turf irrigation program, ensuring maximum efficiency, appropriate schedules, and application rates are applied as required to water turf, grass, and flower beds.
- Troubleshoot and repair various system components, including heads, valves, and piping.
- Assist in the installation of modifications to existing systems or the addition of new systems.
- Assist in the implementation of the turf maintenance program, including top dressing, seeding, turf repair, and laying sod.
- Line trimming and backpack blowing as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Minimum 2-4 years' experience in the operation and maintenance of automated/manual commercial and residential irrigation systems.
- Certified Irrigation Technician status (Landscape Ontario) or equivalent is an asset.
- Ability to address clients' questions, comments, and concerns.
- Familiarity with plumbing techniques and materials, as well as turf maintenance equipment operation and practices.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid Ontario driver's license (class G).
- Able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Must provide own CSA-approved safety footwear.
- Able to work 7:00 am- 6:00 pm spring, summer, and fall, and possible shifts from 12:00 am to 9:00 am during the irrigation season (Monday-Friday), and occasional overtime and weekends.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform the job safely.
Mr. Lawnmower Landscaping Services Ltd. offers a competitive salary range of $24.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience. We are a reliable and professional landscape company with a commitment to excellence and quality. We have been serving the Greater Toronto Area since 2003 and are proud to have a very large client base in Toronto, Ontario.
