Job Title: Construction Technician

We are seeking a skilled Construction Technician to join our team at Next Power Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, participating in field surveys, inspections, and technical investigations, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Prepare project schedules
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in construction or a related field
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent
  • Basic security clearance
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Work under pressure
  • Tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Standing for extended periods
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. They will be required to work under pressure and have a strong attention to detail. The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with standing for extended periods.

Language:

The language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
