Are you eager to begin your journey in the hairstyling industry? If you possess enthusiasm and a desire to learn, we are here to support your growth. In this temporary role as an aspiring hair stylist, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the salon environment while delivering exceptional customer service through various communication methods.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn from experienced stylists and management to understand effective business operations and expense management.
- Interact with clients and manage phone inquiries, representing the salon professionally.
- Ensure the salon is tidy and comply with safety regulations consistently.
As an aspiring hair stylist, you may have the opportunity to advance to a full stylist position upon obtaining your license. However, this advancement is contingent upon your performance.
Interested in progressing to a stylist role? Here’s what you need to do:
To qualify for promotion, you should: 1) possess a valid state license; 2) exhibit competence in essential salon functions such as cutting, styling, and coloring hair; and 3) reflect the core values of Regis, including honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO APPLY IF YOU MEET THESE CRITERIA
- Complete an accredited cosmetology program and secure the required license(s) within or by the end of your initial training period.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, effective time management, and a genuine passion for the beauty industry.
- Exhibit strong communication abilities to engage effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- Be adept at using technology, particularly point-of-sale systems.
- Be open to a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. for restocking and occasionally 10-25 lbs. for product handling.
- Prepared for extended periods of standing.
- Possess basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Available for essential meetings and training sessions, which may require travel and overnight stays.
