Overview

The Network Operations Specialist at Konica Minolta will play a crucial role within the Network Operations team, focusing on the seamless operation of managed networks. This position encompasses the maintenance, monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of network-related issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to provide remote support to clients and will have extensive experience with Firewalls, IP Routing/Switching, WAN, and Wireless technologies. Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently are essential. This role is fully remote, and candidates must reside within Canada.

Responsibilities

Deliver Tier II support for networking challenges by efficiently addressing and resolving tickets. Conduct regular assessments of network connectivity across the LAN/WAN infrastructure. Oversee and troubleshoot network devices for the client base. Configure SNMP monitoring, traps, and other necessary implementations while analyzing network management data and preparing reports as needed. Provide technical expertise in Routing/Switching, Firewall, Azure, VOIP, and Load-balancing technologies. Offer specialized technical assistance to customers and our Service Desk. Make recommendations and provide insights to clients. Collaborate with ISPs and other vendors to resolve issues. Participate in on-call rotations and occasionally perform maintenance activities outside of standard hours. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience with Cisco switches and routers. At least 3 years of experience with firewalls, with knowledge of Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki firewalls being advantageous. CCNA certification is mandatory (Routing & Switching). CCNP Enterprise certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with Load-balancers is a plus. Experience with Cisco Unified Communication or other VOIP technologies is beneficial. Comprehensive understanding of VLANs and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.). Proven experience in implementing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless solutions. Demonstrated ability in implementing and troubleshooting enterprise routing and switching solutions (VRFs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, STP, VPC, etc.). Experience with VPN technologies (e.g., DMVPN, IPSEC-VPN, SSL VPN, etc.) is advantageous. Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python is a plus. Understanding of SNMP technology and experience with network monitoring. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
