Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our kitchen team at Namaste Bistro Inc. as a Kitchen Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Sanitation and Cleaning: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and appliances.
- Food Preparation: Portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
- Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take customers' orders, and handle customer inquiries.
- Inventory Management: Stock refrigerators and salad bars, handle and store cleaning products, and remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- General Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
This is a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting. The successful candidate will be a reliable and team-oriented individual who is able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
