Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Carpenter Helper at Orchard View Builders Ltd. The successful candidate will assist our experienced carpenters in various construction tasks, ensuring the timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Pave and rake asphalt, maintaining a smooth and even surface.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, ensuring efficient and organized storage.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, adhering to environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with physical demands.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a team environment.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to follow instructions.
  • Availability to work 35 hours per week, with potential for overtime.
