We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Omni-lyte Enviro Inc. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop manufacturing instructions and user manuals for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Test machines and equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.
  • Plan and manage projects, preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Eligibility for certification by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Proficiency in 3D graphic software, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Ability to use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Basic security clearance and a clean driving record.
