About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Bulk Cement Operator to join our team at Trican. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of cement products.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times, adhering to Trican's core value of prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Operate semi-tractors and trailers in various conditions, including inclement weather.
  • Participate in incident investigations and provide accurate reports.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, accurately completing all required forms.
  • Attend pre-job safety meetings and provide input on operational deficiencies.
  • Inspect and configure equipment as needed.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Rig-out equipment for travel and maintain units and auxiliary equipment.
  • Consult with supervisors and crew members on operational matters.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's license required.
  • High school diploma an asset.
  • Safe driving skills and a clean driver's abstract.
  • Physically fit, with heavy lifting required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques.
