Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Blessed Generations Academy. As a key member of our child care team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, promoting their overall growth and well-being.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the daycare equipment is well-maintained, safe, and suitable for children's activities.
- Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children through storytelling, teaching songs, and leading activities that foster creativity and imagination.
- Supervision and Guidance: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance on child development, behavior, and learning.
- Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers, community service providers, and parents/guardians to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for children.
- Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to licensing regulations and guidelines.
- Reporting and Documentation: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in child care or a related field is an asset.
- Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
