Technical Writer/Instructional Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer/Instructional Designer to join our team at Wenco International Mining Systems. This role involves working with our Technical Writing and Learning teams to create high-quality documentation and learning materials for our software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a range of documentation, from technical software documents to clear and simple documents for end users.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and fellow Technical Writers to plan and solicit feedback on documentation-related projects.
  • Design and develop training and learning solutions in accordance with guidelines and processes.
  • Work with a Product Manager to assess training needs, develop programs and curricula, and design instructional material.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two to five years relevant experience, preferably including software-related documentation development and certified training program development.
  • Demonstrated experience developing learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate.
  • Experience with Madcap Flare and source management tools.
  • Knowledge of document preparation standards and delivery mechanisms.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills related to highly technical subjects.
  • Skills in Adobe and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  • Technical writing certificate or degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Excellent analytical and document design skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordinating abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under a tight deadline.
