Role Overview: As a Product Owner, you will be instrumental in advancing our Property Solutions portfolio, which focuses on connecting and communicating land information to support the real property market. Your role will involve:

  • Delivering value to customers through innovative property solutions and services.
  • Collaborating with the Product Portfolio Manager and product management team to ensure smooth communication and processes within the development team.
  • Creating high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Architects, UX professionals, and other team members.
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with stakeholder input.
  • Facilitating effective sprint planning and managing dependencies between stories and teams.
  • Providing ongoing support for scrum ceremonies and contributing insights based on previous sprint performances.
  • Participating in all release activities, including acceptance testing and ensuring completion of post-operation tasks.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a technical or business degree in a related field, along with 4-5 years of experience in delivering products that leverage geospatial technology. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in SaaS, regulated environments, and agile development.
  • Familiarity with Geomatics, surveying, land development, or legal conveyancing processes.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • A strong understanding of the development cycle and agile frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in delivering IT solutions that bridge customer segments, particularly in geospatial services.
  • Knowledge of British Columbia's real property and land development sectors.
