About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Assistant to join our team at Batule Forklift Services Ltd. As a Millwright Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespersons and apprentices with tasks such as moving tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities and signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Help with cleaning machines and immediate work areas.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and working under pressure.
Work Environment

As a Millwright Assistant, you will work outdoors in various locations, often in noisy, dusty, and odorous environments. You will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may need to bend, crouch, or kneel to perform tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Availability to work 30-40 hours per week.
