About the Role

Gelpac Poly Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our manufactured plastic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect manufactured plastic products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Adjust processing machines and equipment to optimize production and quality.
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to prevent downtime and ensure efficient production.
  • Read gauges and interpret conditions to adjust pumping procedures and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Apply quality control procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor quality and production levels to identify areas for improvement.
  • Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Complete detailed inspection documentation to track quality and production metrics.
  • Check and monitor product quality to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Calibrate components and instruments to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Investigate problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Recommend corrective or enforcement action to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and quality issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
