About the Role

We are seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join our Shopper Engagement Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our iOS app, used by millions of shoppers. Your work will have a direct impact on the earnings and satisfaction of our shoppers, as well as the overall customer experience.

About the Team

The Shopper Engagement Team is a dynamic and cross-functional group dedicated to innovating at the intersection of technology and user insight. We are a team of nine engineers, working together to enrich shopper quality and fulfillment efficiency through strategic touchpoints. Our efforts focus on providing clear, actionable data to shoppers, enabling them to evaluate work effectively and maximize earnings, and developing reward systems that incentivize top-tier service.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance our iOS app used by shoppers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create project roadmaps for delightful and accessible user experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.
  • Participate in cross-organizational efforts with other engineering teams.
About You

We are looking for an experienced iOS Engineer with a strong passion for user-facing products. You should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile development, Software Engineering or related experience.
  • Experience developing iOS applications and experience with iOS fundamentals, including Swift, Swift UI, RxSwift etc.
  • Solid communication skills, comfortable seeking and receiving feedback.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • A collaborative mindset to be able to partner with engineers, designers, and PMs from multiple teams to co-create impactful solutions while supporting system contributions.

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy. Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
