We are seeking a highly skilled Department Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Store #10. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our department, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, ensuring efficient and effective department operations.
- Assign tasks and duties to sales workers, ensuring optimal productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Hire, train, and develop staff members to meet the needs of our department.
- Authorize payments, order merchandise, and manage cash handling procedures.
- Establish work schedules, prepare reports, and resolve issues that may arise.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Our store is a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth. As a Department Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods, with frequent walking and bending.
