Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre in Alberta, Canada. As a Consultant Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Reside in and have your primary residence within the community of Red Deer
  • Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services
  • Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies
  • Provide call assistance as per call schedules, including full-time participation in the Anesthesia call schedule, as required
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives undertaken within the Zone Clinical Department of Anesthesia
  • Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs
  • Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities, as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care

Requirements
  • Be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
  • Have completed, or be currently enrolled in an Anesthesiology residency program (in Canada preferred)
  • Certified or eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada
  • Preference will be given to applicants who do not require or have completed the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta Practice Ready Assessment (PRA)
Compensation

The successful candidate will be remunerated on a fee-for-service basis, with additional compensation for on-call services. Alberta Medical Association (AMA) Compensation Programs may also be available.
