Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Solution Architect to join our Architecture and Development teams. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in architecting technical solutions that meet business needs and spearheading the development of systems that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software architecture components that optimize performance, scalability, security, and reliability for our large eCommerce platform.
  • Transform high-level conceptual designs into detailed implementation plans and projects, ensuring alignment with architecture goals and priorities.
  • Contribute to planning meetings, drive innovative initiatives, and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Establish and apply architectural standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and direction to development teams to ensure alignment with architectural designs.
  • Review peer-created architecture designs and existing systems to ensure quality and consistency.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a software architect role and 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Post-secondary education in Computing Science or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in providing technical leadership, guiding teams through complex projects, and driving innovative solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural and design patterns, web application development, object-oriented programming, and database development.
  • Experience with our core technology stack: C#,.NET 6+, TypeScript / JavaScript, SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce quality planning documentation and clearly summarize key messages.
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices, with the ability to implement and manage secure systems.
