Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Guide and mentor apprentices in the craft.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, or sketches for the items to be constructed.
- Assemble components and ensure proper fitting of parts to create a finished product, reinforcing joints as necessary.
- Prepare wooden surfaces by sanding and applying finishes such as veneer, stain, or polish; also work with laminated materials.
- Ensure a tidy and safe workspace at all times.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of other team members.
This position requires a secondary school diploma and ideally 2-3 years of hands-on experience. As a Cabinet Maker, your role will involve mentoring apprentices, interpreting technical drawings, assembling furniture components, finishing wooden surfaces, maintaining a safe work environment, and supervising fellow workers.
