About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Specialist to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As a Surveillance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of telecommunication projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate the conformity of telecommunication works in lines, posts, and hydroelectric power plants;
  • Monitor telecommunication works (installation of various poles, optical equipment, power supply, distribution, industrial computer equipment, telecommunications, radio communication, deployment of IP/MPLS networks, etc.);
  • Take ownership of project requirements and their technical, environmental, quality, and safety aspects, and participate in the development of surveillance programs;
  • Verify the quality of plans, quotes, and their compliance with current standards;
  • Comment on the quality plan of contractors;
  • Ensure that the quality plan is applied in terms of technical, safety, and environmental requirements;
  • Fill out and follow up on quality, environmental, health, and safety documents;
  • Participate in the preparation and processing of reports on all works, such as work progress, supply tracking, labor, equipment, additional works, property and environmental damage, technical defects, questions, technical modifications (QMT), and those related to quality systems procedures;
  • Write daily reports on work progress;
  • Issue and follow up on non-conformities and QMT.

Requirements

  • DEC in telecommunications or civil engineering or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in work site surveillance;
  • Valid driver's license (class 5) and access to a vehicle;
  • Good knowledge of computer systems;
  • Excellent command of the French language (spoken and written);
  • Valid ASP construction card;
  • Participation in Hydro-Québec training (an asset);
  • Knowledge of MCT, retro site, smart use (an asset);
  • You are dynamic, autonomous, and organized.
