Position Overview: Senior Gameplay Systems Programmer

Epic Games is seeking a skilled Senior Gameplay Systems Programmer to contribute to our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing gameplay systems within Unreal Engine, aimed at delivering exceptional interactive experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to architect and enhance new features for the Mover Plugin.
  • Refine Character Movement interactions involving AI, Animation, Physics, and Networking frameworks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting network-related challenges concerning movement.
  • Optimize current systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Engage with various teams to uphold and advance the vision of the Engine division.
  • Identify and resolve CPU and network performance bottlenecks.
  • Innovate and push technological boundaries in gameplay systems.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in C++ programming and foundational programming principles.
  • Familiarity with principles of networked gaming.
  • Experience in AI, input systems, animation, or physics.
  • Capability to develop robust and maintainable systems.
