Senior Financial Analyst Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in advancing the analytics agenda for The Boyd Group's Specialized Accounting group. The primary focus will be on detailed variance analysis, reporting maintenance, and driving behavioral change within the organization through the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Additionally, this position will be instrumental in transforming capital asset processes to enhance efficiency and user-friendliness in reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance financial models and processes to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Lead a project to revamp capital asset processes company-wide, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs, develop reports, and provide training to ensure seamless integration with existing systems
  • Implement continuous improvements and oversee accountants' work to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Mentor junior staff and assist with financial research and analysis to drive business growth
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • CPA designation required, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and industry standards
  • Minimum five years of financial experience, with a proven track record of driving business growth and improvement

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Effective organizational and communication abilities, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated passion for learning and problem-solving, with a strong desire to drive business growth and improvement
  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion
  • Confidentiality and customer service orientation, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and providing exceptional customer service
Additional Requirements:
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
