About the Role: Home Child Care Provider

As a Licensed Home Child Care (HCC) Provider with Compass ELC, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. You'll work independently, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment within your own home.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement play-based learning experiences that cater to children's interests and developmental needs.
  • Observe and document children's progress, fostering their individual growth and development.
  • Build strong relationships with families, keeping them actively involved in their child's learning journey.
  • Collaborate with a network of dedicated providers, sharing best practices and supporting each other.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, creating an inclusive and equitable environment for everyone.

Qualifications:

  • Access to a suitable home space that meets licensing requirements for child care.
  • Experience working with young children and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with children and families.
  • Strong behavior guidance skills, utilizing positive reinforcement and redirection strategies.
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification.
  • Updated immunization records or a signed medical exemption.
  • A valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • An active Food Handler's Certificate.
