About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ready-Mix Truck Driver to join our team at A & G Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to transport concrete to construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a ready-mix truck to transport concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle's condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Logistics: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS navigation to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Ready-Mix Truck Driver or in a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work 30 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
