Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Summersmiles Family Dental. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Initial Dental Assessments: Perform thorough assessments to identify potential oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Consult with Dentists: Collaborate with our dentists to ensure seamless patient care and make informed decisions about treatment.
- Take Dental Impressions: Accurately take and record dental impressions to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Instruct Patients on Oral Hygiene: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
- Clean and Stimulate Gums: Use specialized techniques to clean and stimulate gums, preventing gum disease and promoting overall oral health.
- Apply Fluoride Treatment: Administer fluoride treatment to patients to help prevent tooth decay and strengthen tooth enamel.
- Take, Develop, and Mount X-rays: Accurately take, develop, and mount X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Perform Restorative and Orthodontic Procedures: Work under the direction of our dentists to perform restorative and orthodontic procedures.
- Dental Hygienists Licensure: Hold licensure from the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
- Criminal Record Check: Pass a criminal record check to ensure a safe working environment.
As a member of our team, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

- Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
- Hours: The work schedule is 40 hours per week.
