Job Title: Long Haul Driver

B.C LTD is seeking a skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
  • Load and unload goods, and ensure safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods, and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Professionalism in customer service, and ability to address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Mountain driving expertise, and ability to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks
  • Overtime required, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Personal Suitability:
  • Team player, organized, and ability to work independently
