Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Island Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: You must have a Grade 12 education and be registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • Driving and Certifications: You must have a Class V BC Driver's License and hold certificates in CPR, Standard First Aid, and Food Safe.
  • Experience: You must have recent, related experience of one year working with clients with mental illness, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Communication: You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical Ability: You must be physically able to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Teamwork: You must be able to work independently and in cooperation with others.
  • Equipment Operation: You must be able to operate related equipment.
  • Organization and Prioritization: You must be able to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Client Relationships: You must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Observation and Conflict Management: You must be able to observe and recognize changes in clients and manage conflict effectively.
