Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

CELL CITY INC. is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage our store's finances effectively.
  • Order merchandise and manage our inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure our team is working efficiently.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform our business decisions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain our inventory, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our sales team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy loads as required.
