Your Role

We are seeking a Consultant to become an integral part of the SR&ED Consulting team, taking on the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in SR&ED client projects, primarily within the software sector, while collaborating with BDO's SR&ED team nationwide.
  • Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted and influential advisor.
  • Analyze client operations and workflows by interviewing technical and financial staff to assess eligibility for various government grants, tax credits, and funding programs. You will develop suitable funding strategies to optimize tax incentives available to each client.
  • Ensure effective communication among team members across departments for ongoing progress tracking and issue resolution.

Your Qualifications and Background

  • A university degree in any scientific discipline (computer engineering is an advantage).
  • You are a recognized expert and leader with over 3 years of SR&ED experience supporting clients in a consulting capacity.
  • You possess a profound understanding of computer engineering, electronics, life sciences, or other scientific areas.
  • You are bilingual in French and English (both oral and written).
  • You have strong technical writing abilities in both French and English.
  • Knowledge of accounting, finance, and taxation is considered beneficial.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in meticulous work.
  • You demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
