Commercial Canine Explosives Detection Specialist

A.S.P. Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Canine Explosives Detection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our canine explosives detection team, you will be responsible for conducting explosives detection searches and sweeps of various locations, including office buildings, arenas, and airports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct explosives detection searches and sweeps of various locations using trained canines
  • Maintain a high level of training and readiness to respond to suspicious packages and unattended vehicles
  • Responsible for the 24-hour housing, care, and well-being of assigned canines
  • Carry out security duties, including working indoors and outdoors under various conditions
  • Work indoors and outdoors as required, with flexibility to adapt to changing situations
  • Daily training on explosives detection and maintenance of records complying with Federal Regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Fully bilingual, French and English
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Valid Security license, Ontario Drivers License (G or Higher) with a clear driving abstract and Basic First Aid and CPR certification
  • Willingness to provide Criminal Record check upon request
  • Security experience an asset
