About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Audit Group Manager, Financial Crimes to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading complex audits and projects, providing thought leadership, and facilitating strategic discussions with executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of audit professionals in supervising, planning, and executing audits and projects for multiple business groups.
- Develop and implement audit strategies to identify and mitigate risks, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Provide guidance and leadership to ensure operational results and professional development objectives are achieved.
- Act as a lead audit advisor, providing guidance on emerging trends and issues to senior leadership.
- Identify, mitigate, and report on risk issues, and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed.
- Develop and implement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide people management leadership, administering performance management activities and providing continuous feedback and training.
- Build a positive and diverse work environment, promoting equal opportunities and inspiring team members to achieve common objectives.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, accounting designations, or equivalent education.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of AML/Sanctions program requirements, applicable regulatory requirements, and organizational practices and disciplines.
- Champions in external competition, industry, and market trends in relation to own functional area.
- Ardent in processing and handling confidential information with discretion, acting with the highest levels of integrity.
- Proficiency with MS Office, analytical tools, and Internet applications.
- A strong negotiator and decision maker who can influence business leaders and make rational choices.
- A dynamic leader who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively in both oral and written form, and build relationships across teams and functions in a fast-changing environment.
