About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psiychiatric Specialist to join our team at Labrador Grenfell Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Study the nature, cause, and development of mental health disorders and the structural and functional changes caused by these conditions.
  • Provide Expert Consultation: Act as consultants to other healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.
  • Order Diagnostic Procedures: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as necessary to inform treatment decisions.
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments: Maintain licensure by provincial or territorial authorities and stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
  • Experience: Experience in a related field is an asset.
